There was hair and dryer lint on my sheets and the room had a strange odor to it. and, if I wanted to reach the front desk, I had to make the trip because the phone wouldn't dial it. I told the desk clerk I needed the wifi for business purposes, but she failed to understand that point and couldn't get her son to even go check the router. The only wifi connection with an internet connection was weak and kept falling off my list of connections. There was no overhead light in the room, but the light switch activated a flourescent light tube over the front window that was rendered useless upon closing the drapes.

They advertise free wifi, but it's too weak to reach the other building, where I was staying. Left traces on my shoes and mats in the car. Fresh asphalt laid in the parking lot was still soft, crumbly, and sticky. Motel was once a pretty nice place called the Minuet Manor Motel. If I were to set a value on the room I would say it is a solid $40 room.īooked as a lower budget stay for one night. Knowing what I know now I would still stay again, but not for what I paid. The room is also a good 10 minute drive from Altoona. There was absolutely NO cell signal and the WiFi does not reach the rooms. The one window was open slightly, with no crank to close it. The patio outside my room was scraped bare and chipping concrete. The fan cover in the bathroom was missing (which is fine since the fan didn't work). The drapes were hanging loose and shredded.
I also loved the tile work in the bathroom. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with sample packs of toothpaste, shampoo, etc. The bedding was clean and the mattress was comfortable. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, and won't be spending any time at the hotel, this is the place for you.
